Fathers Be Involved

Fathers Be Involved

Raising wholesome kids isn’t just for the mother, daddies too must be involved. Don’t just be present in your home, be emotionally available for your children.

A lot of daddies are physically present, but emotionally absent. All they do is provide school fees and food money. They’re always tired when they get back home, some come back with a lot of  office work to be completed at home and as such no time to relate with their children.

By the time some come back from work, the children are fast asleep and are already out by the time they are awake. Weekends when they are supposed to be home, they are engrossed on the net and sports.

It’s mum that attends school meetings, mum discipline all alone. Medical appointments are mum, end of the year party school, church activities during the week, mum is all over the place.

Don’t get it twisted, it’s not wrong for women to do that but the challenge is that at old age, children tend towards their mum much more than dad and men wonder why.

Mothers are always in the face of their children, involved in every part of their lives and relationships. The only time they encounter you as a father is when they need to pay a school fee or so. So you’re more like an automated teller machine (A.T.M)

Over time children lose the emotional connection that you’re supposed to have with them.

That’s another reason you see children out of home will rather call mum than talk to Dad. Most times they just send their greetings. Have you wondered why and how women could get it out of their children?

It’s no manipulation, (though some do that) it’s because overtime having been involved in factually all areas of their lives they now know their children’s mumu buttons. They just know the right one to press for the desired result.

Dad, I understand you might not always be available but let your impact be felt when you’re there such that when you’re not there, they tend towards you. Do you know your children’s mumu buttons?
